FINA RIDES LUCK TO WIN CHALLENGE
The outstanding Geoff Sattler trained Lucky Fina continued her purple patch of form with an emphatic come from behind victory in The Gardens GRNSW Country Challenge on Saturday afternoon. The daughter of Knockabout Wok was sent out as second favorite behind Gardens Champion Lochinvar Prada and after slow getaway the tiny black bitch showed sublime track sense to weave her way through the field and nail frontrunners right on the line in 30.30.The Dianne Craig prepared Cashmere Queen gave her supporters a fantastic sight leading everywhere bar the post and the John Lawson trained Elite Flash was an honest run in third position. Favorite Lochinvar Prada had no luck in the run and was sixth only six lengths from the winner. Lucky Fina will now go on to contest the Gosford Gold Cup where she will once again match up against Lochinvar Prada. |
